Subscriptions
Plans, billing, and managing your Rolebase subscription.
Overview
Rolebase offers tiered subscription plans to fit organizations of different sizes. Subscriptions are managed per organization and billed through Stripe.
Plans

| Startup | Per seat/month | All core features. Suitable for growing teams that need full access to meetings, tasks, threads, and integrations. |
| Business | Per seat/month | Everything in Startup, plus advanced features, priority support, and higher limits. |
Paid plans are billed per active member (seat) per month. Archived members do not count toward your seat total.

The Free plan is fully functional for small teams. You can explore all core features before deciding to upgrade.
Managing Your Subscription
Only the organization Owner can manage the subscription.
Subscribing
- Go to your organization’s settings.
- Navigate to the Subscription or Billing section.
- Select a plan.
- Enter payment details via the Stripe checkout flow.
- Your subscription is activated immediately.
Changing Plans
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time:
- Upgrading takes effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle.
- Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Cancelling
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to billing settings.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to the Free plan.
No data is lost when downgrading or cancelling. Your organization, roles, and history remain intact.
Billing and Invoices
Rolebase uses Stripe for payment processing. From the billing section you can:
- View your current plan and next billing date.
- Update your payment method.
- Download invoices for past payments.
- View billing history.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Rolebase never stores your credit card details.
