# Getting Started

Create your account, set up your organization, and invite your team.

## Create Your Account

1.  Go to [rolebase.io/signup](/signup) and click **Sign Up**.
2.  Enter your email address and choose a password.
3.  Confirm your email address via the link sent to your inbox.

You are now ready to create your first organization.

## Create Your Organization

1.  From the dashboard, click **Create Organization**.
2.  Give your organization a name.
3.  Optionally set a custom **slug** (the short identifier used in your URL, e.g. `rolebase.io/my-org`).

Your organization starts with a single top-level role that you can rename and expand.

## Build Your Structure

Your organizational structure is made up of **roles**. A role that contains other roles acts as a **circle** (a team or department). Start by creating a few key roles:

1.  Click on your top-level role to open it.
2.  Click **Add** and select **Role** to create a new role.
3.  Give each role a name, purpose, and accountabilities.
4.  Add sub-roles to create circles.

** AI Suggestions**

Rolebase can generate role suggestions using AI. Based on the parent role’s purpose, the AI proposes sub-roles with pre-filled purpose, domain, and accountabilities.

## Invite Your Team

1.  Go to the **Members** section of your organization.
2.  Click **Invite** and enter the email addresses of your team members.
3.  Each person receives an invitation email with a link to join.
4.  Once they accept, assign them to their roles.

** Pending Invitations**

Invitations are automatically resent with decreasing frequency until accepted. You can track the status from the members list.

With your structure and team in place, you can:
